Fun Friday

I have a cold... Jack has a cold... Hailey will probably catch our cold =) But it's still FRIDAY and that's reason enough to put a smile on your face! I really love Friday's because I have to whole day with Jack. He loves to just hang out and is such a great helper. I don't have to run back and forth from Hailey's school and his school 4 times! We just drop off Hailey and then pick her up! Much more relaxing day!! Now don't get me wrong... I really love Jack's preschool and he loves it too!

We are going to go to Hailey's class this afternoon for a PACT activity (Parent And Child Time). They are going to make bird feeders out of pine cones and peanut butter. Guess who donated all the pine cones for both pre-k classes (over 40)??? ........ Yours Truly! Me and the kids grabbed our plastic bags and picked the best of the best from our backyard!

Oh and I did my Publix run yesterday with my little Jake!! He's such a good baby and I'm really enjoying my mornings with him. I didn't take a picture of my deal because I really needed to put the groceries away and didn't want to haul them all back out just for a visual aid.... But my total was $116.98 and I saved $60.26 so out of pocket was only $56.72!! That's less than half =) This was the first time I used Food Lion and Target coupons ON TOP of manufactures coupons and it was awesome!!

So I'm off to go get some cleaning done... Our weather is kind of crappy today so we are probably going to be stuck inside all weekend. I'm sad... I wanted to go to the zoo! I was going to be really nice and take the kids too =) We'll just have to save it for another weekend when Daddy is off.

A "non-brownie" Post...

I love when Hailey 'plays' Guitar Hero with her Daddy and I finally got a picture of her.  She got a Hannah Montana guitar for Christmas and whenever he plays she runs and grabs hers. I wish they weren't standing behind the couch, but they are still cute!

She's using her "Star Power" in this one!

We are also loving our extra hour of daylight in the evenings.  We went out today after dinner and played in the backyard.

And look!!  The azaleas are starting to bloom!!!

My little ones were feeling like sharing some dandelion seeds with our neighbors and making some wishes while they were at it!

I love how their little cheeks  and hands look in these pictures.

 

I'm so Weak...

You guys are no help at all!!

All your comments about brownies sounding good, and you going and making some for yourself just made my self control go out the window. The kitchen window. And then I headed right over to the pantry and grabbed a box of these sweet things.

So yes, I did make browines last night at 9:30 (or 10:30). However you looked at the clock they were still delicious!! And Darren was glad I did because when he got home this morning he ate two =)

"Meet The Robinsons"

Yesterday afternoon I noticed that our backyard was infested with an entire flock of robins! There had to have been over 50 of them. They were ruffeling through the pinestraw and looking around the yard for yummy treats, I'm sure.

I took these pictures from the dinning room window with my zoom so they aren't the best, but I didn't want to go outside (my munchkins would have scared them to death).

The roots of these trees have little pockets that collect water when it rains (or snows)! I saw a couple of them using them as little bird baths! Pedro uses them as outdoor water bowls!!One of them spotted me!

Well.... I think I'm going to go have another brownie =)

Don't Forget...

...to Spring Forward tonight before you go to bed or you'll be late for church in the morning!!

I keep looking at the clock, because it's technicaly 10pm not 9 and I really want to make a batch of brownies but baking browines at 10 at night sounds a little bad doesn't it?!?! Especially since I'm the only one here that is awake! But I have about 5 loads of laundry to fold so I really could use some sort of 'prize' at the end of that mountain =)
I know.... I'll just skip the laundry, and watch ER. Even exchange. Save the laundry for tomorrow. (That's why I have so many loads... I keep saving it for 'tomorrow')!!
