What dog breed are you??

I took this quiz....looks like I'm just like Max!
What dog breed are you? I'm a Labrador Retriever! Find out at Dogster.com

Your family is what makes you tick, and you never "flea" from an opportunity to hang out with the whole gang. A family picnic complete with hot dogs, deviled eggs and a refreshing swim in the lake is hard for you to stray from. Your sparky temperament and dogged intelligence mean you are not only a blast to hang out with, but great to work with as well. Your close pals appreciate your patience and forgiveness, knowing you'd rather let sleeping dogs lie than dwell on the mishaps of the past. Your dashing good looks may one day lead to a modelling career, if only you can tame the unfortunate clumsiness that sometimes causes you to go flailing from the catwalk.

Max was our family dog while I was in high school. He lived about 7 years and was the sweetest boy! He loved swiming in kiddie pools :-)

Here he is with Hailey...he was so sweet to her. They would even share treats!I would definatly get another lab if I was out looking for a dog...but we just happend to come across this little guy... he was homeless and how could we pass him up?

Pumkins, Mice, and Princesses!

Daddy surprised us Thursday with tickets to the spring musical at one of the local high schools. They were preforming Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.
We let Hailey decide what she wanted to wear...1st she said her Cinderella shirt...2nd bring pajamas because it's going to be long and I might get tired...finally she decided on wearing her princess dress!!
I even tried my best to do her hair like she had it done at Sweet & SassyJack was just ready to go! We filled their day with many errands, even a doctor's apt. because they thought 7pm would never arrive! And then when we left the house we said, "But first we have to grab a bite to eat!"
We made it! Warner Robins High! Home of Demon Football!
Can you tell we're just a tad excited!! At this point I think Jack was starting to worry about her :-)We had to wait about 25 min. for the show to start...(and then they started with a OneAct) But they both did pretty good, asked LOTS of questions, mingled with other people, and of course acted goofy!!
Mom, Hailey is really starting to freak me out...and I thought you said Cinderella was going to be here?!?
Skip through to the end of the show.......They loved it by the way...but no pictures during the performance!! It was great...very funny and magical for my kiddos! They loved when the pumpkin and mice turned into the carriage and horses!!

After show party!! Whoo-Hoo!!
Hailey met up with all the A-listers! She was the best dressed audience member, all ready for the ball herself. Here she is with one of the step-sisters (or did you think that was Cinderella?) She was hysterical!! Totally made the show in me and Darren's opinion!!
And here is Jack and Hailey with the Fairy Godmother....she had a wonderful voice and the kids loved the she could make smoke and "fire sparks" appear!!
And best of all (This will be on the cover of People next week!) Cinderella, Jack, Hailey and Prince Charming!! Right after the show Hailey walked right up to the Prince and he told her how pretty she looked and took her hand and led us to Cinderella. I think Hailey was in her own little heaven in that moment. She felt like she was so special and it was so sweet of them to stop visiting with all their buddies and take pictures with us!!

So, Daddy...you did great! We had an awesome night and I'm sure they will remember it for a very long time!!

Thursday's Thoughts...on Friday...

So, I'm not going to say " Sorry for being a day late..." because yesterday was a GREAT family day! And when I say family I mean all FOUR members of our family. Darren didn't have to go into work for anything...not a single warrant had to be signed, no court appearances, no reports to fix, nothing! (He did take a guy who wants to become a cop to the obstacle course to do a practice run, but I think that's more good Samaritan-ish and doesn't count). We even went to see a local high school's spring musical with the kids! I'll post more about that later...
So on with my Thoughts...
I'm still reading along in the book of Luke. I'm deep into Jesus' ministry and all his miracles... One thing that struck me was a few verses in chapter 8:19-21. Jesus was busy teaching and preaching the Word to a crowd of people and his mother and brothers were trying to get closer to Him. Some interrupted Him to let Him know they were there and he replied that "His mother and brothers hear the Word of God and do it." This reply teaches us that spiritual ties and relationships are stronger than natural ties. This also implies that His mother is no closer to Him than anyone else who does the will of God.
I wondered how I would feel if my natural ties were not also spiritual ties. (Both my parents are members of the church) If they left would I be strong enough in my Faith and beliefs to stand up for myself and MY family? Could I lean on my spiritual ties to help me through it? I'm fortunate that I don't think that will ever happen, but many of my friends have been faced with that situation and I'm so proud of them for being strong Christian examples. My husband even stood up to his own mother when she left our church about 5 years ago. He never batted an eye or doubted our Faith for one moment...I was pregnant with our first child at the time and knew right then that he was going to be a great Christian father for our children. (His mother has recently been coming back to church! Hopefully she'll place her membership soon)
I just have always equated church with my family because I was raised in the Church... They go hand in hand.
Anyway...I don't have a real thought provoking way to end this...just the little thoughts I gathered together.
