More Thanksgiving

As I had said in my previous post… we went to my grandparent’s house for Thanksgiving break.  It was beautiful up there and the kids had a blast. We had a wonderful time with family and great memories were made. The boys spent their time out on the edge of the property shooting many different guns into the woods (at targets)   Jack used binoculars to see the targets

 

 

I even hit the tiny target that spun when hit just right!  My mom did too!!

We did do other things than fire weapons… We went to town for more bullets!! lol!

Really we went to town for the Christmas street festival.  It was so pretty to see all the stores decorated and the street lined with little paper lanterns.  We were even on the look out for Santa.

Jack with Grandaddy-Great.  At this point Hailey had had enough! She was hungry, tired, and cold :) No picture wanted. 

Saturday night Grandaddy-Great made a little bon fire.  We roasted marshmallows.

Okay…now I feel caught up. Maybe next year I’ll get back on the “blog-wagon”

Birthdays and Thanksgiving

So my sweet baby girl turned 6 today! I told her all about the day she was born (her request) She wanted to know if she said ‘mama’ and what she had for lunch that day :) I told her milk and she said ‘yuck! milk?!?!’  I took penguin cupcakes to her Kindergarten class today. (forgot camera!) She had a special birthday hat, card, and pencil from her class.  We had a little party for her last Friday night.  It was Tinkerbelle!!

She sang with all of us. Made a wish… Read EVERY card…

Showed SO MUCH enthusiasm and gratitude for each gift… Even bear hugged her brother to thank him for her new Walkie-Talkies!! (I so wish we got that on camera)

Where has my little one gone?? This was her 1st birthday… we took her for ice cream after Wednesday night Bible class. She was so happy!! I miss that baby, but love the beautiful girl she’s growing up to be.

Thanksgiving 2009

We started out our festivities with lunch at the kids’ schools… and I do mean plural and even on the same day!! We were VERY full that afternoon! I got a great picture of Jack with Grandma and Papa… My dad got the picture of them with Hailey on his phone. 

p.s. My mom just had her radiation on Friday. She is doing okay and will be able to start her thyroid hormones this Friday.  We however can not see her. She’s been told not to be around pregnant women or small children :( My kids are having major withdrawals!!

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving we drove up to North GA to see my grandparents.  They call their property “Blueberry Hill”…. Here are the bushes in all their fall colors.  My grandma makes a wonderful blueberry jam!

Lil’ peanut

A week before Thanksgiving I had a routine apt. but because I was still so early they did an u/s to find heartbeat.  I got a much better picture than last time.  I was 10weeks5days and it actually looks more like a baby than a blob this time!

The following Tuesday night I was packing for our Thanksgiving trip and I started bleeding. I freaked out just a little bit! NEVER even spotted with the other two. I called my OB and the nurse told me to go to ER for fetal heart tones.  Thankfully everything was okay (plus I got an even better pic!) The doctor said I had a uterine bleed and it stopped by the next day.  So this picture is 11weeks2days. 

As of today I am 13 weeks and just when I think I’m feeling better I have a day full of hugging the toilet!!  I’m not complaining though… it’s all part of it… just never had it this bad before!

Today I had an early screening for Down Syndrome, Try18, and Spinal bifida.  I’ve never had it done before because they always did it by amino and we aren’t going to do anything about the pregnancy even if something is wrong…but this doctor only uses u/s and finger prick. Everything looked good from the pictures and the blood work will be back in a few days.

Jack started out saying he wanted a little brother…. now he says it’s a little girl (because he’s not going to move out of his room!) I guess he thinks Hailey will get booted out of hers now! Hailey wants a little boy and girl. I keep telling her there is only one in there. :) I’m still on the fence about finding out the sex in January.  Part of me wants to have a surprise! But of course the other part of me wants to know ASAP!!!

So there you go… all caught up on Baby Johnson…

My big baby will be 6 yrs old tomorrow!!! Can’t believe it. I’ll post about her ‘party day’ and ‘birthday’ tomorrow (they are totally different according to her!)
