2010 Pig Show!

We had a great time at this year’s Pig Show in Perry.  The Lineberger boys did so good with all their pigs! (In case you are new to my blog, the Lineberger boys go to church with us. They are a set of quads with an older brother –all boys!- my mom nanny's for them)  We are actually going again this weekend for the State level show. If you want to see last year’s show click here

At the beginning of the show they let all the little kids have a go at ‘walking’ the pigs.  Hailey went with Tal

Jack was in the next group. He went with Hunter.   Pig Show with Hunter  IMG_6597

Philip came too and here he is with Luke.IMG_6594IMG_6599

Don’t worry… there was no harm done to the pigs… they are being tapped ‘lightly’ with the sticks :)

Since my mom is out there every day she has gotten really good with ‘farm’ stuff.  We donated to the scholarship fund and signed her up to show a pig in the final round!!! IMG_6615 IMG_6616

She did so good!!!

Snow Day!

Friday we were pleasantly surprised with lots of snow (for Middle GA!!)IMG_6526 IMG_6530 edit

About 3 o’clock in the afternoon we took our first trip outside to play. It had been snowing for a while but had finally started sticking!

Pedro ventured out with us.  He ran full speed around the yard!! But after that one little romp in the snow he was done.IMG_6541 IMG_6543

Don’t you love Jack’s huge gloves (Hailey’s too for that matter). IMG_6544

After our clothes did a cycle in the dryer and hot chocolate was served we ventured out again.  The snow was still coming down and much thicker now.IMG_6548 IMG_6549 IMG_6550

Once it started getting dark I tried to get a shot of how big the flakes were.  It was really a beautiful day!! I can say that knowing it would pretty much all be gone the next day. Snow is pretty, but hard to live in weeks on end. Living in Washington, Wyoming, and D.C. was enough for me… I’m fine with getting little days like this every now and then :)IMG_6580

Sewing for Baby

I jumped right into two of my projects tonight. I just couldn't wait and they seemed pretty easy. This is the first time I've appliqued and it was F.U.N.! I made two onesies for new baby boy...whose name is more than likely Collin Michael. (or should it be Colin?? what do you think about the spelling?) I got the tie tutorial from this site. For the C; I basically did the same as the tie but found a font I liked from Word and went from there...

Tomorrow I plan on trying something girly :) Stay tuned...
