Since we celebrated Jack’s birthday a week early we had a ‘free day’ on his actual birthday. Daddy was off so we invited the Lesters to join us on a trip up to Atlanta to see the aquarium!
First stop: Jack really had to warm up to the HUGE tanks, dark hallways, fish bigger than him, etc…. Some weird squid like creature.
The jellies were so cool! Loved taking pictures in that room.
I think we could have just stopped here and the kids would have been fine. This tank was beautiful and we could have stared at it for hours. The waves that crashed on the top and the music could just put you in a slight coma.
A family picture! It’s a Christmas Miracle!!
My least most favorite thing in the world: I was scarred for life after watching JAWS when I was 5yrs old!Next exhibit was the Giant one! This manta ray is one of the newest to the aquarium. He was so cool and enormous!!
There were 4 of these whale sharks! Probably the size of our van :) yet they have tiny throats and can only swallow the tiniest foods. I watched one swallow a fish and it came out it’s gills!!
Feeding time was a great. It came up from vents in the bottom of the tank. Our crew got seats front and center! Including Darren :) It’s Deepo!! Jack and Ralston shared a hug!
We got tickets to the little movie and it was so much fun! The kids wanted to do it over again :) Not only was it 3D, but 4D!! Water sprayed on us, bubbles in the air, jellyfish tentacles coming down from the ceiling!! (that was freaky) They LOVED it!!
More to come!!!

Fun!! We haven't been to the Atlanta Aquarium, but it's on the list!
How fun! So glad you got to go as a family. I love your family picture and I laughed at your "Christmas miracle" comment. :) I really like the Atlanta aquarium. I don't think I really appreciated it though until I went to the Ripley's aquarium in Myrtle Beach and it was not nearly as cool as the Atlanta aquarium!
I love these pictures! I will miss that aquarium. We are aquarium nuts and that is the best one we've ever been to. 2nd place is the one in Cincinasti, Ohio.
I've been looking forward to those pictures. It looks like Jack finally enjoyed it. We always enjoyed Sea World almost as much as Disney.
I would love to go see the aquarium, but we just get worn out too quick when we have to do much walking. We will just enjoy your pictures instead.
Love Grandma
When we went it was sooooo crowded and not very enjoyable. Glad you guys had fun!
I love how you edited your pictures. They look amazing. The kids look like they had a great time. I can't wait to take Abigail to the aquarium.
That looks like so much fun!
Jack looks so much like you in that 1st picture.
Did you get a new pic editing program? Your pics look fantastic!!
