4th of July Weekend pt.2

Our trip continued with dressing up in Red, White, and Blue! Loved Hailey's shirt that Grandma gave her. She was more interested in putting her hands in the pool than snapping a photo for me :) Still turned out cute.

Jason stopped by to squeeze on his little man.. Sweet little family.

We headed to the mall and wound up at a Disney store.  We don't have one close to us anymore so my kids have never been in one.  They were seriously in heaven!! I couldn't get them to stand still long enough for a picture of their reactions.  Jack wanted EVERYTHING and Hailey kept saying how 'Awesome' it was!

Picture 130

Tried to get a picture on the big Mickey but you can tell that didn't go too well... They were all hyped up on shopping.  We made out good (all cost less than one Disney ticket and they were just as happy)

Picture 132 Picture 135

That evening we grilled our hamburgers (thanks Ray-Ray) and got ready for fireworks.  You can see Jack was a little nervous... He kept his hands on his ears while driving to the neighbors house...no fireworks yet.

Picture 137 Picture 138

Me, Heather, and Hayden walked over.

Picture 139

While we watched some in the sky we also set off a ton in the street.  Jack would not let me put him down so I didn't get too many good pictures.

Picture 147

Finally my dad convinced him to get in the back of the truck with Hailey (who LOVED them!!)  At one point Hailey turned around to me and said 'Oh Mommy I love you!' She was so happy I let her come see the fireworks (just melted my heart!!)

Picture 149

After church on Sunday we quickly got the kids together for a 'Great Grandbabies' photo op for Grandma-Great & Granddaddy-Great.  All three of their 'Greats' together!

Picture 151 Picture 152

Then lunch on the patio to watch Hailey swim (she would eat and swim, then eat and swim)  Aunt Sue-Sue joined her.

Hailey even started swimming on the deep end!!

Picture 162

You can tell from how dry Jack is that he didn't even sit on the first step!!

Picture 163

Hailey grabbed the camera that night and got some candid shots.

Here is Mackenzie the pug.Picture 164

Zeek the jack russell . Who btw is a little kleptomaniac.  He will steal anything that isn't glued down to the floor and run till you trade him a treat! He also can let himself  out by pulling on the lever type door knobs.  They had to change all their indoor knobs to keep him out of the rooms!! But he's a sweetie!!!

Hailey slept with me on the last night we were there.  We were looking at all the pictures she took and decided to take some of us.  I thought they turned out so cute.

Picture 179 Picture 182

Had to post this.  On the way home there was a horse trailer with three horses.  They kept passing us, then we'd pass them...  The whole time the horses kept their heads out and my kids LOVED it!!!  I've actually never seen horses enjoy 70 mph breezes before.

4th of July Weekend pt.1

We headed out on our trip Friday morning.  I will admit I was expecting a stressful drive. 6 hours of two yelling kids and just me.  But that was NOT the case... They were great!! Best drive we've ever taken.  Of course there were LOTS of "are we there yets" and "how much longers"  but all in all... Fantastic!

Picture 097

We pit-stopped  somewhere in south GA for some lunch.  It was classy! A Wendy's hooked to a gas station with this huge catfish tank in the center!! Entertaining though. Picture 100

The kids cheered when we made it to the FL line.... however were disappointed when I told them about 3 1/2 more hours!  I did a little cheer when we made it to Orlando... almost there!!

But to get there....$6.00 in tolls. The price you pay to stay out of traffic. Hailey asked me if they were taking all our money... She couldn't figure out why you had to pay to drive on a street?!?Picture 103

WE MADE IT!!!

First things first... give baby Hayden lots of lovin'!!

Uncle Mo and Aunt Lou-Lou meeting him for the first time. (for all of you asking WHY my parents are called those names, let me explain.....) My mom has a little brother named Steve, so my dad goes by his nickname 'Mo' which is short for his first name, Morris. My mom was always Aunt Janet until my cousin, Lacey, started calling her Lou-Lou out of the blue... and if you know my mom she LOVES nicknames. Needless to say it stuck!Picture 106

Mom getting in some good bonding time.Picture 107

Let me tell ya, He is a sweetheart!! I SO got baby-fever! Heather was getting over some kind of sickness, so she was staying at her mom's too! We had full access to the little man!Picture 113

Jack loves him some babies.  He held Hayden many times over the weekend. (p.s. Hayden's shirt says "Were you this cute?") Jack asked me during church when we were going to get a baby...but he had conditions... It can ONLY be a baby brother! He says he can only handle one sister!! :)

Check out his hair? Such a little man!Picture 118

Hailey on the other hand patted his head, kissed him and said, "where's the games?!" She played Wii every second she got. We eventually moved the console into the back bedroom so other people could enjoy the family room :) My sweet little electronic-obsessed child! We've started limiting the time at home... I think she'd do it all day if I let her.Picture 121

Part 2 up next... Gotta go get ready for lunch with Sarah, Ralston, and Riley!!

The laundry is taking over!

I have about 10 loads of laundry to finish...some are waiting to be folded...some are waiting to be washed... all are waiting to be put away! I could wash all day and night, but there is something about sitting there folding and putting away that drives me crazy. I just keep putting it off! But now we are getting ready to go out of town...we will need cute 'Red, White, and Blue' clothes (which are all at the bottom of the piles) so I MUST get to work. We are heading down to Florida to FINALLY squeeze on this little man!! Hayden is already 9 weeks but still smaller than mine were when they were born!! Can't wait :) Hope everyone has a SAFE and HAPPY 4th of July weekend!!

Trying to catch up...

My two little ones have been playing together surprisingly well this summer.  They have their moments...don't get me wrong.  One of their new favorite things to do is set up a make believe "Night at the Museum."  They watched the movie a few weeks ago and LOVE it!! We ordered it from Netflix and they won't let me send it back! We may have to purchase this one.Picture 061

If you've seen the movie you know about the big dinosaur!  It sits in front of the information desk... (can you see their desk?)Picture 060

We also got to spend some time at the hospital.  My mom had some issues with her blood pressure.  She is currently under a new doctor's care and getting her thyroid checked. (They found a spot on one while she was there)

Jack loved sitting in Grandma's bed... it had the best view of the T.V.

Picture 062 Picture 063

We brought Grandma some flowers and the kids picked out the little balloons.  I grabbed her personal items from her house like p.j.'s  perfume, magazines... all the essentials!  As a joke I brought a picture of her puppy... having no clue that she would be there for 4 days!! Her poor dog thought she was never coming home.  He would run around the car when my dad would come home and get up on his hind legs to try to see in the drivers seat :(Picture 065 Picture 066 Picture 068

I had to get this shot because they are hardly ever this close to each other and not making silly faces!! They are in a Spongebob coma :)

Picture 069 Picture 071 Picture 072

When they got bored we broke out the crayons and let them color on paper towels!  We also went on many elevator rides.  Jack finally concurred his fear of elevators.  He was holding the handrail for dear life, but he wanted to do it over and over.  Picture 074

Darren even got to come hang out due to the "Family Emergency"  He stayed with Mom while we went to get dinner.  They watched COPS together!!Picture 076

Father's Day got kind of downplayed due to the circumstances.  We went to visit Grandma after church.  I thought this was a precious picture of Darren trying to fix Jack's tie before we went into her room.  We ended up taking Daddy and Papa to lunch to celebrate their day.Picture 077

And just a quick shoutout about how HOT it has been.  Don't leave things in your car like pets, kids, and crayons!!  They will all melt!Picture 080Picture 079

Last week was VBS so I will post about that next.  Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.
