Book Club

So we started a book club this weekend. My friend Dawn got it all organized. She's our librarian :-) We all got together at O'Charlies for lunch but unfortuatly Dawn couldn't make it due to a death in her family. Her sweet "Pa" passed away earlier in the week and she went out of town for his funeral. We really missed her but she wanted us to go ahead and start. From L to R: Stacia (Me), Bry, Jeanette, Sarah, Andrea, and Natalie. We brought books from home to trade with each other instead of all reading the same book. I'm loving that idea! With two little ones I may not be able to read as fast as others :-) So I picked Drowning Ruth.
I'm really enjoying it so far. It's quite dark and very twisted but I like that. I'm not to into the lovey dovey stuff. I like more of the who done it kind! Now we just have to come up with a name for our club. We also are always looking for more members, more members means more books to choose from and a lot more girl talk. That's really to whole point of this. To get out and spend time with our friends but we get to say, "Honey, I've got Book Club today!" :-) :-)

I can't imagine you having time to read, but it's a great idea. I have been doing quite a bit at night since I don't care for most of the TV shows that are on. You might enjoy one I read recently. It is called "Without A Trace" by
Colleen Coble. It has a little romance, mystery, and animals. A good clean book. Checked it out at the library.
Good reading! Love, Grandma
